On April 14th, NorthPark Community Credit Union was honored to receive the prestigious Juntos Avanzamos Designation from Inclusiv at the Indiana State Capitol. The Juntos Avanzamos (Together We Advance) designation is awarded to credit unions that are committed to serving and empowering underserved consumers.

In order to receive the Juntos Avanzamos designation, credit unions must meet a rigorous set of criteria, including:

  • Employing bilingual, culturally-competent staff and leadership
  • Accepting alternative forms of ID
  • Treating all members with respect, regardless of immigration status
  • Offering a wide range of financial products and services that are relevant to underserved consumers

NorthPark Community Credit Union was founded in 1954 to provide financial services to the underserved communities of Indianapolis. The credit union has a long history of serving underserved and immigrant consumers, and it is committed to providing them with the financial resources they need to succeed.

In recent years, NorthPark has made significant investments in its underserved and immigrant outreach efforts. The credit union has hired bilingual staff, established partnerships within its communities, and launched a number of educational programs to help its members and the underserved community learn about financial literacy and credit building.
