Black Friday, Cyber Monday bring out shopping scams (11/23/11)

In an article written by Credit Union National Assocation, tips are given in how to avoid the shopping scams that could happen if you aren't careful.

Internet Banking Access - Internet Explorer Browsers (8/12/11)

If you are experiencing issues in trying to log in to the It'sMe247 internet banking service, it might be browser-related.  If you are using Internet Explorer, you might need to add It'sMe247 as a trusted site.  To do so, please follow the suggested path:  Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites, then click "Sites" and type in the following link: https://obc.itsme247.com.  Click on "add" and you should have access to the internet banking site.

Website Compliance Message (8/9/11)

NPCCU recently added a new security message to our website, informing the website visitors when they are leaving the credit union website to visit another website owned and operated by a separate business entity.  There are several third-party links on our website (including internet banking) that we provide as a courtesy to our membership.  Although these outside websites are credible and valuable, NPCCU is required to inform you that the content on these sites is provided by an outside vendor and NPCCU is not responsible for the content.

Debit and Credit Card Security (4/22/09)

During this economic downturn, it is highly probable that fraud will increase as situations become desperate. True to this forecast, NPCCU members have experienced credit card and debit card fraud recently. To protect yourself from becoming a victim of debit/credit card fraud, please keep the following safety measures in mind:

1. NPCCU has made enhancements to our debit/credit card security programs that help us identify possible fraudulent transactions on your cards. As part of this service, you may receive a phone call. During this call (automated and/or live), you will be asked to validate charges made on your NPCCU debit or credit card. For your protection and privacy, you will be asked for the last four digits of the primary account holder's social security number. Please follow the prompts and help us protect your accounts from fraud. AT NO TIME WILL YOU BE ASKED FOR THE ACCOUNT NUMBER. If you are, then hang up!

2. Are you traveling out of the country? If you are, then you need to be aware that NPCCU's debit and credit card programs are set up with additional security that blocks all foreign transactions. To temporarily unblock debit card usage, call your nearest NPCCU branch for assistance. To temporarily unblock credit card usage, call the Credit Union at 1-888-883-3328 (M - F, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST). When you call, we will need your name, card number and dates of travel.

3. Check your account on a regular basis and verify your account transaction. NPCCU provides many opportunities to assist you...your monthly statements, branch lobby assistance, branch phone assistance, telephone banking, and internet banking. Call your local branch today to get signed up for telephone and internet banking. A simple call today might save you from becoming a victim of fraud tomorrow!

With Enhanced Login Security, you'll be protected from whatever computer you're using, whether you're at home or on the go.

Enhanced Login Security will:

1.Defend against identity theft and fraud
2.Provide security from any computer, wherever you are.
